Situated as we are in the middle of the Peak District, we have not been immune to the recent extreme weather conditions that have brought many areas of the UK to a frozen standstill. Be assured however, nothing, be it snow, ice or blizzard was about to prevent the Thornbridge Team from brewing. You will be happy to know that all members braved last week’s sub-zero arctic conditions and reported for work as normal. How, you may well ask, did we manage to achieve such a feat of duty and endurance? Well, speaking as a member of the Sheffield contingent, a big vote of thanks must go to Jim for placing his mighty Land Rover Defender at our disposal.
It proved just as well that we did succeed in keeping the brewery operating, as I know for a fact that Thornbridge’s most recent pub venture, the Greystones, had a truly bumper week. It would appear that the local folk prevented from making it into work were able to spend some quality time sampling our fine Thornbridge beers. Indeed, we were obliged to make some extra deliveries to prevent disappointment.
On a more unfortunate note, yesterday, Matt, one of our brewers, slipped on ice outside the brewery and broke his leg. I’m sure you will join us in wishing him a speedy recovery, and hope he will be back brewing ASAP.

Another blog… hooray! Great to see you guys charging hard and battling through the snow. All my wishes to Matt for a speedy recovery!
Cheers and beers,
Kelly
Matt… recover!
Be it swift and painless, if the God’s allow, but however it transpires… recover!
Many warm (and still warming as things stand) thoughts from thawing Lincolnshire.

Hi Matt, I wish you a speedy and full recovery! Is this bad luck or my bad influence?? After I visited you in Bakewell (on crutches) and met you again at the Pré-ZBF at Alvinne (still with broken leg); then first Kelly injuring his leg and now you. Starting to feel almost guilty!
